Abstract

Electricity is a fundamental necessity in today's world. Almost every aspect of life is connected to electricity. However, despite its significant benefits, electricity also holds potential dangers that, if not properly managed, can become a major disaster for users. These dangers include fire hazards, electric shocks that can cause paralysis, and even death. Therefore, introducing the dangers of electricity and ways to conserve it is essential. Primary and secondary school students were chosen for this initiative because they represent the future of our nation. This activity was successfully conducted with over 50 participants ranging from elementary to high school students. The activities included lectures, discussions, and direct observation of electrical components and equipment. The results of this activity showed that out of 57 participants, 53% were very interested, 32% were interested, 14% were indifferent, and 2% were not interested. Regarding satisfaction with the activity, 60% were very happy, 31% were happy, 9% were indifferent, and 0% were unhappy. The effectiveness of the activity in increasing understanding before and after the activity was highest in grade 10 with an N-Gain score of 1.0, followed by grade 9 with an N-Gain score of 0.9, and the lowest was grade 6 with an N-Gain score of 0.45.
