This analysis investigates the Non-Performing Loan (NPL) situation at Bank Tabungan Negara (BTN) during 2020-2022, focusing on trends, influencing factors, and implications. The global COVID-19 pandemic likely increased credit risks for BTN, particularly given its close ties to the property sector. Factors such as economic uncertainty, sluggish growth, and inadequate risk management may have contributed to elevated NPL levels. High NPL rates can lead to financial deterioration, constrained credit, and diminished stakeholder trust. To mitigate these challenges, BTN should reassess credit policies, collaborate with the government for economic recovery, and develop effective NPL resolution strategies. Understanding these dynamics is crucial for BTN to enhance financial resilience and ensure sustainable growth. Keywords: Bank Tabungan Negara, BTN, Non-Performing Loans, NPL, COVID-19, economic uncertainty, risk management, financial deterioration, credit constraints, stakeholder trust, resolution strategies.
