Peran DPRD Dalam Pelaksanaan Penyaluran Bantuan Sosial Terhadap Masyarakat Kota Medan

Abstrak. The Regional People's Representative Council is a regional people's representative institution whose position is as an element of regional government administration in provinces, districts/cities in Indonesia. Social assistance is about providing assistance that is not sustainable. It can also be given in the form of money/goods to the community with the aim of improving public welfare. In distribution, the DPRD has an obligation to be accountable for this social assistance in accordance with the applicable provisions. The aim of this research is to find out what role the DPRD plays in implementing social assistance in the field. This study used descriptive qualitative method. The data collection technique used is through interviews or interviews. The DPRD's role in implementing social assistance carried out by the DPRD-SU has been carried out well, but has not been optimal overall. The obstacle factors are the lack of data collection that is not on target and the distribution of social assistance funds that is not simultaneous or comprehensive.
