Strategi Perencanaan Keuangan dalam Menghadapi Ketidakpastian Pendapatan pada UMKM

Abstract

Income uncertainty is one of the major challenges faced by micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), as it can disrupt cash flow, increase financial risks, and threaten business sustainability. These challenges are exacerbated by inadequate financial recordkeeping, weak operational cost control, and additional expenses associated with digital platforms. This study aims to analyze the impact of income uncertainty on MSMEs, identify appropriate financial planning strategies, and explain their implementation in maintaining financial stability and business sustainability. The study employs a descriptive qualitative approach through a literature review using secondary data from scientific journal articles and conference proceedings published between 2021 and 2026. Relevant literature was collected through online searches and analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that income uncertainty can lead to declining sales, excess inventory, cash flow disruptions, and reduced profits, particularly when financial management is not properly structured. Applicable strategies include regular financial recordkeeping, budgeting, cash flow forecasting, operational cost control, reserve fund establishment, and risk management. Financial literacy and the use of digital technology also support the effectiveness of financial planning. Consistent implementation of these strategies is expected to help MSMEs maintain financial stability, improve decision-making, and sustain business operations amid income uncertainty.
