PENGARUH PERUBAHAN IKLIM TERHADAP STRATEGI MANAJEMEN AGRIBISNIS: STUDI KASUS DI WILAYAH PERTANIAN INDONESIA (THE EFFECT OF CLIMATE CHANGE ON AGRIBUSINESS MANAGEMENT STRATEGIES: A CASE STUDY IN INDONESIAN AGRICULTURE)

Abstract

Climate change is a major challenge for the agribusiness sector in Indonesia due to its significant impact on agricultural productivity and national food security. This study aims to understand how climate change affects the agricultural sector and identify adaptation strategies that farmers can undertake to maintain their agricultural productivity and sustainability. The method used is Systematic Literature Review (SLR), which is by collecting and analyzing various literature sources to get a comprehensive picture of agribusiness management strategies in the face of climate change. The results show that climate change has negative impacts, such as decreased crop productivity due to extreme weather conditions, changes in the growing season that disrupt planting schedules, increased pest and disease attacks, and the threat of crop failure that occurs more frequently. To overcome these impacts, this study proposes several adaptation strategies, including the use of high-yielding varieties that are resistant to extreme weather conditions, the application of modern agricultural technology such as smart irrigation systems, crop diversification to reduce the risk of loss, strengthening farmer institutions through training and organizational support, and efficient water resource management. This research provides important input for the government and other stakeholders to formulate more adaptive agribusiness policies, so that the agribusiness sector in Indonesia can be more resilient in facing the challenges of climate change while maintaining national food security.
