Abstract

In this article, the concept of ownership and property in Islamic economics is discussed, which is considered a trust from God and promotes social responsibility. In addition to being seen as a way to accumulate wealth, property is also considered a tool for achieving prosperity and justice for society. Islamic economic theory, systems, and practices are mutually supportive. This distinguishes the concept of ownership in Islamic economics from the concept in capitalist and socialist systems. In the Islamic system, ownership encompasses individuals, society, and the state, with an emphasis on justice and equitable distribution. Zakat and the management of state resources for the public good, as well as rules on how to obtain and use these resources, are examples of the implementation of this principle. Therefore, this article emphasizes the importance of fair wealth management to achieve shared prosperity.
