Abstract

In the classroom environment, the curriculum must be adapted to the needs and characteristics of students so that the learning process becomes more efficient, effective, and interesting. One thing that can be done is to provide open materials that can increase student motivation and understanding during the learning process. The purpose of this study is to develop teaching materials for grade IV at MI MIFTAHUL JANNAH Palangka Raya that can be used in the learning process. This study uses the ADDIE development paradigm, which consists of the following six steps: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The data collection process was carried out through observation, documentation, and distribution to teachers, students, teaching materials, and designers. The results showed that the validity of the material had an average value of 206.0 with the category "Very Feasible." Design validation produced an average value of around 366.7 using the category "Very Feasible." The teacher score was an average of 347.1 with the category "Very Feasible," while the student score was an average of 98.3 with the same category. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the developed educational materials are very effective when used as open materials for fourth-grade students in Elementary School.
