Tasawuf Dan Pendidikan Karakter: Upaya Membangun Generasi Muda Yang Berakhlak Mulia

The development of globalization and digital technology has brought various changes to the lives of the younger generation, both in terms of mindset and social behavior. In addition to providing significant benefits, these developments have also given rise to various moral problems such as declining ethics, increasing individualism, misuse of social media, and low social awareness. This condition demonstrates the importance of character education in an effort to shape a young generation with noble morals. This study aims to analyze the role of Sufism in character education and its relevance in developing a young generation with noble morals in the modern era. The method used is a literature review with a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were obtained through a review of various books, scientific journals, and academic sources related to Sufism and character education. The results show that Sufism values such as tazkiyatun nafs (purification of the soul), muraqabah (awareness of God's supervision), muhasabah (self-introspection), and zuhud (simplicity) have a significant contribution to the character formation of the younger generation. These values can foster honesty, discipline, responsibility, humility, and social awareness. Furthermore, integrating Sufi values into education can be a solution to address moral challenges in the digital age. Thus, Sufism can be an effective approach to developing a younger generation that is not only intellectually superior but also possesses noble morals and a strong spiritual awareness.
