ANALISIS HUKUM ISLAM TERHADAP KEWAJIBAN MENANAM BIBIT POHON BAGI CALON PENGANTIN DI KUA GUDO KABUPATEN JOMBANG

The policy of mandatory tree planting for prospective brides and grooms is one of the Jombang Regency Government programs implemented based on the Circular Letter of the Regent of Jombang Number 100.3.4 / 251 / 415.01 / 2025 concerning the One Marriage One Sustainable Tree Movement. This program is implemented as an effort to increase public awareness of environmental conservation through social and religious approaches. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the obligation to plant tree seedlings for prospective brides and grooms at the KUA, Gudo District, Jombang Regency and review the policy from an Islamic legal perspective. The study used a qualitative method with a case study research type. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation involving the KUA and prospective brides and grooms. The results showed that the program was implemented by prospective brides and grooms planting tree seedlings in their respective home environments one day before the marriage contract and sending documentation as proof of implementation to the KUA. This program is not a valid requirement for marriage, but rather an administrative policy aimed at building environmental awareness. From an Islamic legal perspective, this policy can be categorized as maslahah mursalah because it contains general benefits and does not conflict with sharia. In addition, this program is also in line with the concept of maqashid al-syariah, especially in efforts to maintain the sustainability of life and the welfare of society through environmental preservation.
