Sistem, Problematika dan Kebijakan Pendidikan di Finlandia

Education is a key factor in human resource development and increasing a country's competitiveness. Finland is known as one of the countries with an internationally recognized education system for its ability to produce high-quality education through an approach that emphasizes equality, teacher quality, and student welfare. However, social developments, changing educational needs, and technological advances require policy adjustments to maintain educational quality sustainably. This study aims to analyze the Finnish education system, identify emerging problems in its implementation, and explain the educational policies implemented to address these challenges. The method used is a literature review with a descriptive-qualitative approach through the search and synthesis of various scientific sources such as journals, books, and relevant documents. The analysis was conducted using thematic analysis techniques to identify patterns and relationships between findings. The results show that the success of Finnish education is supported by the integration of the principle of educational equality, teacher professionalism, curriculum flexibility, a student-oriented evaluation system, and consistent government policies. Furthermore, it was found that the Finnish education system continues to face challenges in adapting to social change and global developments, requiring adaptive and sustainable policies. The findings of this study are expected to serve as a reference in developing education policies, particularly for developing countries seeking to improve education quality in line with national needs and characteristics.
