Abstract

The development of Artificial Intelligence (AI), particularly ChatGPT, has transformed the way Generation Z composes communication messages and conducts business activities. ChatGPT's ability to generate, edit, and personalize messages makes it a technology increasingly utilized in business communication and negotiation. This study aims to analyze the use of ChatGPT in composing communication messages and business negotiations among Generation Z and identify the benefits and challenges of its use. This study used a qualitative method with a literature study approach (library research). Data were obtained from journal articles, proceedings, and relevant scientific publications, then analyzed using content analysis techniques. The results show that ChatGPT helps Generation Z compose more effective, systematic, and audience-specific communication messages. It also supports negotiation preparation through argument development, scenario simulations, and the provision of alternative communication strategies. The high utilization of ChatGPT is influenced by its ease of use, personalization, relevance, and speed of information access. However, its effectiveness still depends on the user's ability to understand the communication context, evaluate information accuracy, and apply interpersonal communication skills. Thus, ChatGPT does not act as a substitute for humans, but rather as a communication support technology that can increase the effectiveness of message composition and business negotiations if used critically and responsibly.
