Abstract

Globalization and the development of digital technology have brought about major changes in the lives of Indonesian society. On the one hand, these developments provide convenience in communication, access to information, and economic growth, but on the other hand, they also give rise to various social ethical issues, such as declining social solidarity, increasing individualism, the spread of hoaxes, and the erosion of local cultural identity. This article aims to analyze how the re-actualization of local wisdom can serve as a basis for social ethics in facing the challenges of globalization and the digital era. The research employs a library research method by analyzing various Indonesian books and scientific journals. The findings show that the values of local wisdom, such as mutual cooperation (gotong royong), deliberation (musyawarah), tolerance, and respect for others, remain highly relevant as a foundation for shaping the social ethics of modern society. Therefore, revitalization efforts for these values are needed through education, digital media, and public policy in order to shape a society that is character-driven, adaptive, and remains rooted in the nation's cultural identity.
