Abstract

The aim of this research is to explain and analyze the cultivation of multicultural values in education at SMP Negeri 3 Leksono, focusing on democratic, humanistic, and pluralistic values within the Merdeka Curriculum. This is a qualitative study using a phenomenological approach. Interviews, observations, and documentation are the data collection methods. The research findings indicate that: (1) The cultivation of democratic values in the Merdeka Curriculum in Islamic Religious Education subjects at SMP Negeri 3 Leksono is achieved through several methods. First, students are organized, including electing the student council president and class president; second, school regulations are arranged through deliberation; and third, students are given the freedom to speak up and voice their opinions. (2) Humanistic values are instilled in the Merdeka Curriculum in the Islamic Religious Education subject at SMP Negeri 3 Leksono. This is done through the Friday Charity program to teach social care, extracurricular activities to promote service, and Saturday activities. (3) The cultivation of pluralistic values in the Merdeka Curriculum in Islamic Religious Education at SMP Negeri 3 Leksono starts by involving all students in academic and religious activities without distinction. Teachers also act as role models and examples for the students.
