Pembangunan Ibu Kota Negara (IKN) : Antara Dampak Dan Perlindungan Masyarakat Adat

Abstract

In general, the Central Kalimantan local government expressed readiness and approval regarding the discourse rolled out by the central government, but the governor of Central Kalimantan Province wanted there to be several things that need to be considered if the discourse will actually be realized. Some of these main issues are budget readiness for infrastructure development, good regional spatial planning, human resource readiness planning, and socio-cultural aspects of indigenous peoples' rights that need attention. Because the existence of indigenous peoples is very critical because the recognition they get is very weak. The purpose of this article is to find out how the impact of moving the new capital city and how to protect the traditional rights of indigenous peoples. The research method used in the preparation of this article uses the document study method in which data collection. This study concludes that, although the local government of Central Kalimantan has stated its readiness, there are many factors that need to be considered, especially the social aspects and the carrying capacity of the surrounding environment as well as the protection of the traditional rights of indigenous peoples. Therefore, so that the traditional rights of indigenous peoples are not disturbed and do not cause impacts in the future, it is necessary to conduct an in-depth study related to the planning. This aims to achieve the welfare of indigenous peoples and the protection of human rights.
