PERAN DA’I DALAM MEMELIHARA SOLIDARITAS SOSIAL PADA MASYARAKAT MULTIAGAMA DI DESA JARAK KECAMATAN WONOSALAM JOMBANG

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of da'i in maintaining social solidarity in the midst of a multi-religious society in Jarak Village, Wonosalam District, Jombang Regency. This village is known as an area with religious and cultural diversity, which requires religious figures who are able to maintain social harmony and harmony. The research approach used is a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through interviews, observations, and documentation. The theory used to analyze the findings is Talcott Parsons' structural functionalism theory, especially within the AGIL (Adaptation, Goal Attainment, Integration, and Latency) framework. The results of the study indicate that da'i have an important role in fostering interfaith communication, educating the community about tolerance, and being a bridge in resolving emerging social conflicts. Supporting factors for the role of da'i include community trust, support from religious institutions, and local culture that upholds the value of mutual cooperation. Meanwhile, the challenges faced include differences in religious doctrine, minimal understanding of pluralism in certain circles, and limited access to information
