PERAN PEMBINA ASRAMA DALAM PENINGKATAN MINAT BELAJAR SANTRI DI PONDOK PESANTREN AN-NAHL PACULGOWANG DIWEK JOMBANG

Pesantren is a traditional Islamic educational institution with its own unique traditions. The mentor is a unique educator who uses unique methods and spacious outdoor learning spaces. The mentor serves as a role model for the students and bears significant responsibilities in nurturing, developing the students' talents, interests, intelligence, character, morality, experience, knowledge, and skills. This study aims to address the following issues: 1). What is the role of the mentor in enhancing students' learning interest at the An-Nahl Paculgowang Diwek Jombang Islamic Boarding School? 2). How is the enhancement of learning interest implemented at the An-Nahl Paculgowang Diwek Jombang Islamic Boarding School? 3). What are the results of the evaluation of the improvement in students' interest in learning at the An-Nahl Paculgowang Diwek Jombang Islamic Boarding School? 4). How can the obstacles to improving students' interest in learning at the An-Nahl Paculgowang Diwek Jombang Islamic Boarding School be overcome? This study is a qualitative field research with a descriptive qualitative nature. Data collection techniques used in this study include observation, interviews, documentation, and triangulation. The data were then analyzed using qualitative descriptive analysis. The results of this study indicate that 1). Mentors serve as role models for students in terms of motivation and academic aspects and must exhibit a gentle yet firm attitude, be able to treat all students equally, and maintain consistency in their educational approach. 2). Learning interest is enhanced through activities such as Setoran Nadhom, Sorogan, Jam'iyah every Friday night, and Muraja'ah conducted in the dormitory rooms under the supervision of dormitory mentors. 3). All students are highly enthusiastic about all learning interest enhancement activities and additional study hours. 4). Setting an example through dormitory mentors, providing advice, giving special attention, and imposing consequences for students experiencing a decline in learning interest
