Javanese customs, including the tradition of calculating weton in marriage, remain deeply ingrained in the lives of the community in Mojoduwur Village, Mojowarno District, Jombang Regency. This study aims to investigate the practices associated with weton calculation and analyze them from the perspective of mashlahah mursalah. The research employs a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data collection techniques include interviews, observations, and documentation conducted with community leaders, weton practitioners, and village residents. The findings indicate that the weton tradition is preserved as an effort to achieve harmony and prosperity in households, as well as a form of caution. From the perspective of mashlahah mursalah, this practice is acceptable as long as it does not conflict with the fundamental principles of Islamic law, does not lead to shirk, and is understood as an effort whose benefits align with the goals of Islamic law (maqashid asy-syari’ah) in maintaining the continuity and well-being of families.
