Clothing made from luxurious materials and elegant designs remains the primary choice among the public. The trend of using transparent materials in strapless clothing in the modern era has fostered interest in exploring the visual illusion effect on finished strapless garments based on the number of layers of material used. Based on the results of pre-experiments and researcher observations, the number of layers of tulle fabric used in a bustier affects the visual appearance, structure, and stability of shape. This study aims to describe the finished results of illusion sheer bustiers with three, six, and nine layers of tulle fabric and to describe the comparison among the three layer variations. This study uses a quantitative-descriptive method; data were obtained through expert judgement assessing illusion sheer bustiers with three, six, and nine layers of tulle fabric. The data obtained were then processed to determine the mean, normality, and homogeneity. The hypothesis was tested using One-way ANOVA, followed by a post test to determine whether there were differences in each finished illusion sheer bustier. The results showed that there were differences between the 3-layer illusion sheer bustier and the 6-layer illusion sheer bustier in several aspects; the same applies to the 9-layer illusion sheer bustier and the 3-layer illusion sheer bustier, namely there were significant differences in several aspects. There was no significant difference between the 6-layer illusion sheer bustier and the 9-layer illusion sheer bustier because both have a volume that tends to reduce the illusion sheer effect on the finished bustier.
