Analisis Resiliensi Sartika : Negoisasi Peran Gender dan Strategi Bertahan Hidup dalam Film “Pangku”

Abstract

Reza Rahadian's film Pangku depicts the lives of marginalized women trapped in poverty, social stigma, and patriarchal domination. This study aims to examine the resilience of the character Sartika in facing life crises, the process of negotiating gender roles, and the survival strategies she employs for the survival of herself and her child. A qualitative descriptive approach is used with Roland Barthes' narrative and semiotic analysis methods through observation of scenes, dialogues, and visual symbols. The results show that Sartika's resilience is adaptive and pragmatic, demonstrated through her courage to make difficult decisions and her ability to bounce back from failure. The film Pangku not only presents a personal story, but also a social critique of gender inequality and social structures that oppress marginalized women
