Pemetaan Kerawanan Stok Beras Berdasarkan Analisis Surplus & Defisit di Kabupaten Tegal Berdasarkan Kecamatan Tahun 2023

The availability of food is a primary pillar of regional food security, especially in areas with heterogeneous production and consumption characteristics. Tegal Regency is one of Central Java's high-capacity rice production areas. However, internal variation between sub-districts affects rice stock status disparity, often masked by aggregated district data showing a surplus. This study aims to analyze the rice stock surplus and deficit conditions in Tegal Regency in 2023 using food balance analysis and Spatial Analysis (GIS). The quantitative results were visualized using the Choropleth Mapping technique. The analysis revealed a sharp spatial polarization: 13 sub-districts recorded a surplus, and 5 recorded a deficit. GIS mapping identified Pangkah, Adiwerna, and Slawi as Critical Deficit Areas, while Warureja was identified as the Main Food Barn. This finding underscores the necessity of location-based policy in planning inter-sub-district logistics and optimizing the distribution of Government Food Reserves.
