ANALISIS PENGENDALIAN KUALITAS PRODUK CACAT MENGGUNAKAN METODE FMEA (FAILURE MODE AND EFFECT ANALYSIS)

Abstract

PT Jogja Glove Indonesia is a company engaged in the production of sportswear, particularly gloves. During the period from January 6, 2025 to February 14, 2025, the total production of Kiprun brand gloves reached 23,725 units, with 6,231 units failing to meet quality standards, accounting for 3.8% of total production. To address this issue, the Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) method was applied to identify potential failures, their causes and impacts, and to determine improvement priorities based on the Risk Priority Number (RPN). The results showed three main types of defects: torn gloves with the highest percentage at 82.52%, non-oval shape defects at 9.16%, and folded defects at 8.31%. These defects were caused by several factors, including human, machine, material, method, and environmental factors. Based on the analysis, improvement proposals include routine machine maintenance, improved lighting in the production area, and enhanced supervision and guidance for operators.
