Abstract

PT  Solusi Bangun Indonesia Tbk Plant Cilacap, a company in the construction and infrastructure sector, faces issues in fire hydrant pipe installation activities in the form of motion and waiting waste that increases ergonomic risks for workers. The objective of this research is to determine waste categories, ergonomic risk levels, and formulate improvement proposals to enhance process efficiency and reduce ergonomic risks.The method used is a lean ergonomics framework utilizing Value Stream Mapping for distinguishing between value-adding and non-value-adding operations, and Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA) to assess working posture risks. The result show that non value-added activities reach 33,39% of total process time, dominated by waiting activities 21,14%. Several work activities show high REBA scores, particulary in welding, painting, and pipe positioning processes. Improvement proposals are formulated using the 5W + 1 H method focusing on activities with high waste and ergonomic risk to reduce time waste and lower ergonomic risks.
