Efektivitas Layanan Perpustakaan Keliling Berbasis Storytelling untuk Meningkatkan Literasi pada Siswa SDN 09 Muara Panas Kabupaten Solok

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of a storytelling-based mobile library service in improving students’ literacy at SDN 09 Muara Panas, Solok Regency. The research employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental design with a one-group pretest–posttest model. The research subjects were students of SDN 09 Muara Panas who participated in the storytelling-based mobile library activities. The research instruments consisted of a reading literacy test and a reading interest questionnaire. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics through a paired sample t-test. The results showed a significant improvement in students’ literacy skills after the implementation of the storytelling-based mobile library service. The posttest scores were higher than the pretest scores, indicating improvements in reading comprehension and students’ interest in reading. Based on the statistical analysis, it can be concluded that the storytelling-based mobile library service is effective in enhancing students’ literacy at SDN 09 Muara Panas, Solok Regency. This study is expected to serve as a reference for developing innovative library services to improve literacy among elementary school students, particularly in areas with limited access to library facilities.
