SENYAPAN DAN KILIR LIDAH DALAM PIDATO PRABOWO SUBIANTO TENTANG PENYERAHAN UANG RAMPASAN HASIL KORUPSI 2025

Abstract

This study aims to examine a phenomenon of silence and tongue licking in the video of President Prabowo Subianto's speech at the 2025 Psycholinguistic Study Symposium on the Handover of Loot from Corruption Crimes. This research uses a qualitative approach with a content analysis method. The research data is in the form of speeches from President Prabowo Subianto which contain silence and tongue twisting, which was obtained from a video speech uploaded on Prabowo Subianto's official YouTube account. Data collection techniques are carried out by listening, and recording techniques. Data analysis is carried out by identifying, classifying, and interpreting the forms of silence and tongue twists that appear in speech. The results of the study show that there are two types of silence, namely silent silence and filled silence, with the dominance of silent silence which functions as a pause in speech planning and emphasis on meaning in the context of formal speech. In addition, several types of tongue twists have been found, with a predominance of anticipation assembly error and one transposition assembly error data. These findings suggest that silence and tongue jerking are a natural phenomenon in the production of spoken language, especially in formal communication situations with a high cognitive load. This research is expected to enrich psycholinguistic studies, especially related to the dynamics of the production process of political figures in state speeches.
