Kajian Psikolinguistik terhadap Gangguan Berbahasa pada Penderita Cadel Melalui Platform TikTok

Abstract

This study aims to examine the language disorder of lisping from a psycholinguistic perspective through video content on the TikTok platform. The focus of the study was directed at phonemic changes in the speech of people with lisps and the factors that influence them. The method used was descriptive qualitative, using listening and note-taking techniques for spoken speech on several TikTok accounts. Data were analyzed by reducing and grouping speech based on the type of phonemic changes that occurred. The results showed that lisping is characterized by phonemic changes in the form of sound substitutions, particularly in the phonemes /r/, /l/, /s/, and /k/. The most dominant changes are the phonemes /r/ to /l/ and /w/. This disorder is phonological in nature because it only affects pronunciation without significantly changing the meaning of the utterance, so the speech can still be understood through context. Factors causing lisping include the physiological condition of the vocal tract, language habits, the environment, and the speaker's psychological factors.
