The development of digital technology has brought significant changes to the legal system, particularly in terms of law enforcement, certainty, and justice. Phenomena such as artificial intelligence, big data, and digital platforms create new challenges that cannot be fully addressed by conventional legal systems. This study aims to analyze Max Weber's thinking on legal rationality and examine its relevance in addressing legal dynamics in the digital era. The method used is a qualitative approach with library research, sourced from books, scientific journals, and other relevant literature. The results of the study indicate that Weber's concept of formal legal rationality, which emphasizes a logical, systematic, and rule-based legal system, remains relevant but faces serious challenges in the digital era, particularly related to transparency, accountability, and algorithmic bias. Therefore, legal transformation is needed that is not only oriented towards formal rationality but also adapts to technological developments. This research is expected to contribute to the development of legal theory and serve as a basis for consideration in legal system reform in the digital era.
