HADIS LARANGAN IHTIKAR DAN KEWAJIBAN ZAKAT: UPAYA MEWUJUDKAN KEADILAN EKONOMI DALAM PERSPEKTIF ISLAM

The prohibition of hoarding (ihtikar) and the obligation of zakat are two fundamental principles in Islamic economics taught by the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) as instruments for realizing social justice. This study aims to analyze hadiths related to the prohibition of ihtikar and the obligation of zakat and examine their relevance to contemporary economic inequality issues. This study uses a library research method with a thematic qualitative approach. The results show that the prohibition of ihtikar serves to protect society from monopolistic practices and detrimental price fluctuations, while the obligation of zakat plays a role in distributing wealth to those in need. The synergistic implementation of these two principles in modern economic policy has the potential to be a solution to reduce social inequality while encouraging the creation of sustainable economic balance.
