Abstract

Islam is a global language that does not limit its teachings to vertical prayer to Allah SWT. But it also addresses every aspect of daily life, including the economy. The study of economics is based on the principles and teachings contained in the Qur'an and the Sunnah of the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam. This has come to be known as Islamic economics. This article explains the principles of Islamic economics and their application in daily economic activities. Principles such as tawhid, justice and falah are the basis for starting economic activities in Islam. In the context of production, factors such as land, labor laws, employment contracts, and management are analyzed from an Islamic perspective. Meanwhile, in terms of consumption, this article emphasizes the importance of living simply, being frugal, and adhering to moral principles in meeting needs. Methods This research uses a descriptive critical analysis approach with data from literature sources, mainly books and journals, and applies Islamic economic principles as an analytical framework. As such, this article provides a comprehensive overview of how economics can be practiced in accordance with Islamic teachings.
