UPAYA PENINGKATAN KETERAMPILAN BERMAIN DRAMA DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN TEKNIK OSCAR BROCKET PADA SISWA KELAS XI1 SMA NEGERI 6 PALEMBANG

Abstract

This research aims to improve drama playing skills using the Oscar Brocket technique in class XI 1 students at SMA Negeri 6 Palembang. This research is classroom action research (PTK). The subjects of this research were 37 students in class XI 1 of SMA Negeri 6 Palembang. This research consists of two cycles. Each cycle consists of four stages, namely planning, implementing actions, observing and reflecting. Data collection techniques include questionnaires, interviews, observations and documentation of learning activities. Analysis was carried out using qualitative descriptive techniques supported by quantitative data. The validity of the data is obtained through validity (process, results, democratic and dialogue) and reliability. The results of this research show that the Oscar Brocket technique can improve drama playing skills in class XI 1 students at SMA Negeri 6 Palembang. This is based on the results of student observations from pre-action with a calculated average value of 9.94 (39.76%), cycle I was 15.17 (60.68%), cycle II reached 19.44 (77.76%) . Students' drama playing abilities from pre-action to cycle II increased to reach a calculated average of 9.5 (38%). Apart from that, the learning process for playing drama has also improved. Before the implementation of the action, students still did not dare to express themselves, were less active, often joked with other students, and students still seemed hesitant to play the characters they presented so that the roles they played were less than optimal. After implementing the action, students become more expressive, more active, the learning process becomes conducive, and students no longer hesitate in playing the characters they present, students are even able to improvise in playing the characters.
