PENINGKATAN HASIL BELAJAR DALAM MENULIS SURAT DINAS MELALUI METODE EXAMPLES NON EXAMPLES PADA SISWA KELAS VII.1 SMP NEGERI 10 PALEMBANG

Abstract

The aim of this study is to enhance students' learning outcomes in writing official letters through the implementation of the examples non examples method among VII.1 grade students at SMP Negeri 10 Palembang. This research adopts the Action Research (AR) approach. The study involves 35 students from the VII.1 grade at SMP Negeri 10 Kota Palembang. Data collection methods include tests, observations, and documentation. The Action Research comprises two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection phases. Success indicators at the end of cycle II include an increase in the average learning outcomes score in writing official letters to 80.00 and a minimum passing rate of 90% when taught using the examples non examples method. The findings demonstrate that the use of the examples non examples method improves learning outcomes in writing official letters for VII.1 grade students at SMP Negeri 10 Palembang. There is notable improvement in student learning outcomes, with the average class score increasing from 72,9 before the intervention to 76,1 in cycle I and 81,3 in cycle II. Moreover, the minimum passing grade increased from 60% before the intervention to 74,29% in cycle I and 94,29% in cycle II.
