The Goat Farmers Group in Jagansari Village still performs the process of chopping animal feed manually using a sickle. This process takes a relatively long time, produces uneven chopping results, and poses risks to occupational safety due to the stooped posture and potential for cuts. This study aims to design an animal feed chopping machine that suits the needs of small-scale farmers using the approaches of Product Design and Development, Ergonomics, Safety, and Engineering Economics Analysis. The Quality Function Deployment (QFD) method was used to translate user needs into technical specifications of the machine. Ergonomic analysis was conducted using operator anthropometric data, while occupational safety aspects were analyzed using Job Safety Analysis (JSA). Economic feasibility was calculated based on product profit up to the product's selling price. The results of the study show that the designed machine is more ergonomic, safer, and economically feasible to be applied for small-scale goat farmers.
