Abstract

Mathematics is a difficult subject and feared by students, because mathematics is an abstract, confusing and difficult to understand subject. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is an influence in the use of multiplication stick board learning media on student learning outcomes in mathematics subjects on multiplication arithmetic operations. The research method used is quantitative research with a Pre-Experimental One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The research sample was 22 fourth-grade students of SDN Balongbesuk Diwek Jombang. The results of this study indicate that, the results of the analysis of the hypothesis test research data are explained that the results of the t-test analysis of student learning outcomes show a significant value of 0.000. The significant value that shows 0.000 <0.05 so that H₀ is rejected and Hₐ is accepted. This is also supported by the mean value of the post-test value of 80.68 which is greater than the pre-test value of 55.91. This means that the average post-test value is greater than the average pre-test value. Thus it can be concluded that the use of learning media multiplication stick board can affect students' learning outcomes in mathematics subjects on multiplication arithmetic operations.
