PERILAKU PROSOSIAL MAHASISWA BIMBINGAN DAN PENYULUHAN ISLAM DALAM PENGGALANGAN DANA DUKA DIORGANISASI UNIVERSITAS ISLAM NEGERI SUMATERA UTARA

Abstract

This study aims to examine the prosocial behavior of students of the Islamic Guidance
and Counseling Study Program (BPI) of the State Islamic University of North Sumatra in
fundraising activities for mourning through student organizations, namely the Campus Da'wah
Institute (LDK) and the Departmental Student Association (HMJ). Using a qualitative approach
with a case study type, data were collected through in-depth interviews with six informants
selected purposively. The results of the study indicate that BPI students have a high level of
prosocial behavior, reflected through empathy, solidarity, and social concern, which are based
on religious values and internal and external motivations. The main supporting factors include
the organizational environment, Islamic character development, and the role of social media.
This activity also contributes to character formation and strengthening of students' social values.
