This study examines the ethics of preaching by Gen-Z da’i through the social media platform TikTok, with a case study on the account @kadamsidik00 owned by Husain Basyaiban (Kadam Sidik). The background of this research is the growing phenomenon of digital preaching among young generations, which requires a creative approach while upholding Islamic ethical values. The aim of this study is to identify the application of preaching ethics and moral principles in Kadam Sidik’s TikTok content. The method used is descriptive qualitative with Roland Barthes’ semiotic analysis, including denotation, connotation, and myth in the preaching videos. The results show that Kadam Sidik applies ethical principles such as sincerity, patience, respect for the audience, and persuasive communication without using harsh or provocative language. This approach aligns with Immanuel Kant’s Deontological Ethics, emphasizing moral duty and universal values. In conclusion, TikTok can be an effective medium for Gen-Z preaching if managed with proper ethical principles. This study is expected to contribute to digital preaching literacy and provide ethical guidelines for young da’i in utilizing social media as a preaching platform.
