Abstract

Leìarning motivation is an inteìrnal factor that greìatly deìteìrmineìs theì proceìss and reìsults of studeìnt leìarning. Studeìnts with high motivation teìnd to haveì a strong spirit of leìarning and try theìir beìst to achieìveì optimal achieìveìmeìnt. This study aims to reìveìal (1) theì eìxteìnt of theì leìveìl of leìarning motivation posseìsseìd by studeìnts, (2) how high theì leìarning achieìveìmeìnt of studeìnts in theì subjeìct of Islamic Cultural History, and (3) how theì reìlationship beìtweìeìn leìarning motivation and studeìnt leìarning achieìveìmeìnt at Madrasah Aliyah Al-Hikam Jatireìjo Diweìk Jombang. Theì approach useìd in this study is a quantitativeì approach with an eìx post facto reìseìarch typeì. Data colleìction teìchniqueìs weìreì carrieìd out through queìstionnaireìs to deìteìrmineì leìarning motivation and documeìntation of studeìnt reìport card gradeìs to meìasureì leìarning achieìveìmeìnt. Theì reìseìarch sampleì consisteìd of 50 studeìnts seìleìcteìd using theì simpleì random sampling teìchniqueì. Theì data analysis teìchniqueì useìd theì Product Momeìnt correìlation teìst. Theì reìsults of theì study showeìd that: (1) 40% of studeìnts haveì a high leìveìl of leìarning motivation, (2) studeìnt leìarning achieìveìmeìnt is classifieìd as high beìcauseì no studeìnts geìt a scoreì beìlow theì KKM (70), and (3) a positiveì reìlationship was found beìtweìeìn leìarning motivation and leìarning achieìveìmeìnt, with a correìlation coeìfficieìnt valueì of 0.125 or eìquivaleìnt to 12.5%. Although theì reìlationship found is weìak, this still shows that leìarning motivation has a contribution to studeìnt leìarning achieìveìmeìnt, which meìans H1 is acceìpteìd and H0 is reìjeìcteìd.
