MODEL PEMBELAJARAN DISCOVERY LEARNING BERBANTUAN MEDIA SMARTBOX UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA

This study aims to determine the effect of the Discovery Learning learning model assisted by smart box media to improve student learning outcomes. This study uses a quantitative quasi-experimental method with a pretest-posttest control group design. The research sample consists of two classes, namely the experimental class using the Discovery Learning model assisted by smart box media and the control class using the conventional model. The instrument used was a learning outcome test that had been tested for validity and reliability. The results of the analysis showed that there was an increase in learning outcomes in both groups. The average pretest score of the experimental class was 56.50 and increased to 76.50 in the posttest. Meanwhile, the average pretest score of the control class was 51.16 and increased to 74.75 in the posttest. The findings show that the application of the Discovery Learning learning model assisted by smart box media can increase student active participation, conceptual understanding, and learning outcomes optimally, thus the application of the Discovery Learning learning model assisted by Smart Box media is recommended as an innovative learning strategy to improve the quality of the process and student learning outcomes.
