Abstract

This study was intended to encourage the growth of children's interest in reading and socialization in Tebel Bareng Village, Jombang through the "Latar Baca Ceria" activity. This activity was created to create a fun and interactive learning environment, using methods that are adapted to the age and development of the child. The results of the study showed a significant increase in children's interest in reading, marked by an increase in the frequency of library visits and active participation in reading activities. In addition, this activity also succeeded in improving children's socialization skills through positive interactions with peers during the activity. In conclusion, "Latar Baca Ceria" is an effective program to increase children's interest in reading and socialization in the village environment. This study recommends replication of similar programs in other villages to support the development of children's interest in reading and social skills.
