Pemanfaatan Sumber Daya Lokal Oleh Pemerintah Desa Sindangsari Kecamatan Cimerak Kabupaten Pangandaran Dalam Meningkatkan Kesejahteraan Masyarakat

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of the Village Government in the use of local resources to improve the welfare of the people of Sindangsari Village, Cimerak District, Pangandaran Regency. Abundant local resources such as agriculture, plantations, and village economic potential have not been optimally managed due to low community understanding, lack of education, and weak citizen involvement in development partnerships. This study uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through interviews, observations, and documentation studies. Data analysis is carried out through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn. The results of the study show that the role of the Village Government in the three dimensions of facilitation, educational, and representational is still not optimal. Village deliberations are more dominant in discussing physical development, information media are not yet digital-based, and community training is not sustainable. In addition, the role of village representation in bridging partnerships and fighting for community aspirations at the policy level is also still weak. Therefore, it is recommended that the Village Government implement a participatory approach, strengthen digital information systems, organize training based on local potential, and increase policy advocacy capacity to realize sustainable village development based on local strength.
