This study focuses on the comprehension and analysis of ecosystem systems through direct practical activities conducted in the campus environment of STKIP Al Maksum. An ecosystem consists of a complex network of interactions between living organisms (biotic components) and non-living elements (abiotic components), where each element influences the other in a reciprocal manner. The research employed a qualitative descriptive method with an approach involving observation, documentation, and interviews. The practicum was conducted in two types of ecosystems—terrestrial and aquatic—in order to understand how environmental factors such as temperature, pH, and humidity affect the sustainability of living organisms. The findings indicate that such practical activities significantly enhance students’ understanding of ecosystem concepts while simultaneously raising their awareness of the importance of maintaining environmental
