Performance management is one of the important aspects within a company because it relates to achieving goals and ensuring the smoothness of company operations. This becomes even more critical in companies operating in the logistics sector, given the high volume of work activity and the demand for fast customer service. This study aims to understand how performance management is implemented at PT J&T Express Jember Distribution Center (DC), covering the performance appraisal process, the obstacles encountered, and the company's efforts to improve employee performance. This research employs a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Research data were obtained through observation and interviews with several parties directly involved in the company's operational activities. Based on the research results, it was found that PT J&T Express Jember DC has implemented a performance management system that refers to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as a tool to measure employee work achievement. Furthermore, the company also conducts regular evaluations to monitor the work results that have been achieved. Nevertheless, in its implementation, several obstacles still exist, such as an unstable volume of packages, sometimes unbalanced work distribution, and communication and feedback delivery between departments that still need improvement. Therefore, the company needs to continuously improve its employee development system, enhance the quality of the feedback provided, and strengthen inter-departmental coordination so that performance management can function more effectively and support the achievement of the company's long-term goals.
