Abstract

Performance management is a crucial aspect within an organization that plays a role in ensuring employee work effectiveness and supporting the achievement of company goals. This study aims to examine the performance management system implemented at PT Mukhtara Indonesia Utama Kaliwates Jember, a company operating in the hajj and umrah travel services sector. The research method used is qualitative with a descriptive approach, employing data collection techniques through observation and interviews. The results show that the performance management system implemented by the company emphasizes aspects of discipline, responsibility, and periodic performance evaluations conducted through monthly meetings. Additionally, the company applies a compensation system that includes not only financial rewards but also non-financial rewards in the form of joint recreational activities as a form of employee appreciation. Nevertheless, there are still several obstacles in its implementation, including performance indicators that have not been formulated measurably, an assessment process that remains subjective, and the unavailability of structured evaluation instruments. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a more objective, measurable, and systematic performance evaluation system so that the implementation of performance management can run optimally and make a more effective contribution to the achievement of organizational goals.
