Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan model pelaksanaan Alun-Alun English Camp Chapter 2 sebagai ruang penguatan literasi Bahasa Inggris remaja berbasis kolaborasi Pemerintah Daerah dan organisasi kepemudaan di Kabupaten Barru. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada 22–23 Mei 2026 di Alun-Alun Colliq Pujie/Alun-Alun Kota Barru dan diikuti oleh remaja/pelajar tingkat SLTP dan SLTA se-Kabupaten Barru. Metode pelaksanaan menggunakan pendekatan pelatihan partisipatif berbasis praktik Bahasa Inggris melalui empat tahap, yaitu persiapan, pengondisian peserta, pelaksanaan inti, serta evaluasi dan penutupan. Rangkaian kegiatan mencakup koordinasi panitia dan mitra, pemasangan tenda, pembagian kelompok, briefing peserta, penyampaian materi English Camp, pembukaan resmi, workshop “Peduli Lingkungan”, Malam Pentas AEC, Practice English Camp, Outbound, dan English Challenge Games. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa Alun-Alun English Camp terlaksana sebagai program pengabdian berbasis ruang publik yang memadukan pembelajaran nonformal, praktik komunikatif, kerja kelompok, penampilan, permainan edukatif, dan pemberdayaan remaja. Kolaborasi lintas aktor menjadi faktor penting dalam memperkuat legitimasi kegiatan, mobilisasi peserta, pengelolaan teknis, dan peluang keberlanjutan program.
