Abstract

Photography and videography have become important visual communication media in the Society 5.0 era, characterized by the integration of digital technology into various aspects of daily life. The rapid development of communication technology and social media enables educational institutions to utilize visual content for promotion, documentation, and learning support. Sekolah Pribadi Bandung, as an educational institution actively engaged in digital media, recognizes the importance of producing high-quality visual content to strengthen its institutional image and academic activities. However, the school identified a need to enhance its knowledge and skills in photography and videography, particularly for creating effective and engaging social media content. In response to this need, a Community Service Program (PkM) team organized photography and videography training for educators and related staff at Sekolah Pribadi Bandung. The training covered fundamental concepts of photography and videography, image and video capture techniques, visual composition, lighting, and digital content production strategies tailored to social media platforms. The program was implemented through lectures, demonstrations, hands-on practice, and discussion sessions. The results indicate an improvement in participants’ understanding of basic photography and videography techniques, as well as their ability to produce more communicative and professional visual content. This program is expected to support the development of human resources within the school environment and enhance the effectiveness of institutional communication through digital media. Furthermore, the collaboration between higher education institutions and schools represents a meaningful contribution to improving educational quality at both regional and global levels.
