PERAN MAHASISWA KKN IAIDU DALAM MEWUJUDKAN KELUARGA SAKINAH MELALUI KEGIATAN SEMINAR DAN SOSIALISASI DI DESA BELONGKUT

Abstract

Community Service Program (KKN) is a concrete implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, particularly in the field of community engagement, bridging academic knowledge with the realities of rural life. This article aims to describe the role of KKN students from the Institut Agama Islam Daar Al-Uluum (IAIDU) Asahan in realizing sakinah families in Belongkut Village through religious seminars and socialization activities. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach with data collected through participatory observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings show that KKN students acted as facilitators, motivators, and educators in delivering material on the concept of the sakinah family rooted in the Qur'an and Sunnah, as affirmed in QS. Ar-Rum [30]: 21. The seminar and socialization activities covered household conflict management, spousal communication, Islamic child-rearing, and sharia-based family financial management. In conclusion, the involvement of KKN students made a positive contribution to improving the community's understanding of the sakinah family concept.
