Pesa Village, Wawo District, Bima Regency has agricultural resources and local assets that can be developed into value-added products. Corn is one of the prominent commodities that can be utilized more comprehensively by processing corn kernels into corn chips and corn cobs into charcoal briquettes. In addition, local spices such as turmeric, ginger, lemongrass, and cinnamon can be processed into a herbal beverage product called Turmeric Tea. This community service activity through the Community Service Program (KKN) aimed to encourage the utilization of local resources, improve skills in agricultural product processing, reduce agricultural waste, and enhance product attractiveness through packaging optimization. The activity employed a participatory approach through observation, local-potential identification, product planning, processing practice, packaging assistance, and an entrepreneurship seminar. Three products were developed: Corn Cob Charcoal Briquettes, Corn Chips, and Turmeric Tea. The products were equipped with product identities and improved packaging, making them more ready to be introduced as local-potential-based products. The entrepreneurship seminar held on 8 September 2026 served as a medium for product introduction and for strengthening community understanding of innovation and business opportunities based on village resources. The activity demonstrates that a local-asset-based approach can serve as an initial step toward strengthening community economic independence, although continued assistance is needed for production standardization, business legality, marketing, and business development.
