Pengembangan Ruang Terbuka Hijau Berbasis Partisipasi Masyarakat melalui Program Kuliah Kerja Nyata di Desa Dukuh, Kecamatan Cikupa, Kabupaten Tangerang

Abstract

Community service program (Kuliah Kerja Nyata/KNN) is a form of student community engagement that aims to apply knowledge while providing tangible benefits to the surrounding environment. This article reports on the implementation of a community service program focused on the creation of a "Taman Kreasi" through a participatory and phased approach. The activity was carried out over 20 days, divided into four stages: preparation, land clearing and preparation, structural and infrastructure arrangement, and planting and finishing. The entire process involved active collaboration between students and local residents. The results show that the previously neglected area was successfully transformed into a well-organized and aesthetically pleasing green open space. The park serves ecological, socio-cultural, architectural/aesthetic, and economic functions in accordance with the theoretical framework of Green Open Space functions. The phased approach proved effective in managing limited resources while providing meaningful learning experiences for students through the experiential learning model. This activity also strengthened community participation and environmental awareness, aligning with the principles of sustainable development.
