Penguatan Keterampilan Presentasi Akademik Berbahasa Inggris dalam Mendukung Internasionalisasi Perguruan Tinggi

Abstract

The internationalization of higher education requires lecturers and students to possess adequate academic communication skills, particularly in delivering academic presentations in English during international forums. However, many lecturers and students still encounter difficulties in presenting scientific materials in English due to limited speaking ability, lack of confidence, and insufficient understanding of academic presentation techniques. This community service activity aims to improve the readiness and competence of lecturers and students in Academic English Presentation for international academic forums. The program was conducted through training sessions, interactive discussions, speaking practices, presentation simulations, and mentoring activities. The results indicated that the training positively improved participants’ confidence, academic presentation skills, mastery of academic vocabulary, and readiness to participate in international forums. Participants also demonstrated increased motivation in improving English communication skills and academic professionalism. Therefore, this activity is expected to support the development of globally competitive human resources within higher education institutions.
