Mewujudkan Keluarga Sakinah Melalui Konsultasi dan Edukasi Hukum Keluarga di Desa Janji Kecamatan Bilah Barat Kabupaten Labuhanbatu

Abstract

Public lack of awareness regarding family law often triggers domestic conflicts that culminate in divorce. This Community Service (PkM) initiative aims to provide education and legal consultation on family law to foster harmonious families in Janji Village, Bilah Barat District, Labuhanbatu Regency. The implementation methods included interactive lectures, focus group discussions (FGD), and a private legal consultation service. The results indicate an 85% increase in community understanding regarding marital rights and obligations, the importance of marriage registration, and mechanisms for resolving domestic disputes in accordance with Islamic law and Indonesian legislation. Through these educational and consultative activities, the community has gained greater legal awareness to minimize conflict and build family resilience grounded in the values of tranquility, affection, and mercy.
