Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of implementing Gadjah Mada University's Massive Open Online Courses (MOOC) in the Out-of-Study-Program Learning scheme on the development of student competencies in the digital era at Bina Darma University (UBD). The research method employs a descriptive qualitative approach with content analysis techniques on five MOOC course materials (Design Thinking for Professionals, Analytical Hierarchy Process, Inclusive Leadership Skills, Kansei Engineering, and Big Data for Multidisciplinary) and observation of student learning processes and outcomes. The results indicate that learning through UGM MOOC positively impacts the enhancement of students' critical thinking, problem-solving, and soft skills. However, the development of digital literacy still faces obstacles, such as the suboptimal use of platform features. Factors of self-regulated learning and digital self-efficacy significantly contribute to learning success. It is concluded that inter-university collaboration through MOOC integration is an effective strategy to enrich student competencies, although strengthening digital literacy is needed to maximize learning outcomes.
